The speed dating event takes place on the Zoom platform. If you don’t have Zoom installed on your device you can download it here for free. I will require your email address via the meetup group so an invitation can be sent to you with the Zoom link. Each speed dating event will be approximately 40 mins long.  The maximum amount of participants per event will be 14 with an even ratio of males and females but it may be less or more depending on the attendance but ideally an even ratio is the aim.  

It’s important that you make it at least 5 mins prior to the scheduled event start time as we will begin right on schedule. Coming late can disrupt the flow of the event.  If you decide that you cannot attend please inform meetup as soon as possible so we can accommodate a replacement. 

Please make sure that your video and microphone are working fine. If your on the free Zoom platform you are entitled to 40 minutes of allotted time. But you can just login again if you get timed out.

Each speed dating round will be 3 – 5 mins in length and at the end of the round you will be automatically moved to the next person. This interruption may be abrupt. You can start off with some ice breaker questions. Make sure you take turns asking questions. Here are some examples you can use for each person.

If you had to be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?
If you could invite anyone, dead or alive, to dinner, who would it be?
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
What would be your ideal holiday destination?
What’s the most reckless thing you’ve ever done?

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
If you won the lottery how would you spend it?
What time in history would you have liked to be born in and why?
If you were to star in a movie, who would you like as your co-star?
What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done?
What would be the title of your biography?
